Rabbits: Dept. 9 (open) & Dept. 11 (youth)

 

1. Meat Pen consists of 3 rabbits that are less than 10 weeks old and weigh between 3 and 5 pounds. Champion Meat Pen will be purchased by the Fulton County Fair at fair market value. This pen will be sold during the Youth Livestock Sale on Saturday night with proceeds to benefit the Fair Rabbit Program.


2. Purebred rabbits must have a completed 3 generation pedigree to be presented to Fair representative upon check-in.

3. Doe and Litter is a litter between the ages of 5 to 8 weeks of age. Junior doe and buck may be used from the litter and shown by the litter owner only.

4. Junior rabbits are under six months of age. Senior rabbits are over six months of age.

HEALTH RULES FOR RABBITS

An “Animal Owner or Caretaker’s Verification of Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship”form must be presented upon arrival at all shows and fairs in Pennsylvania.

DUE TO HEMORAGIC FEVER IN THE RABBIT INDUSTRY, ALL OUT-OF-STATE RABBIT ENTRIES ARE PROHIBITED.

1. All rabbits are to be judged according to the latest standard of perfection of the American Rabbit Breeders Association.

2. All rabbits must have a permanent earmark.

3. Each exhibitor must sign a statement as to the rabbit being free from known health disorders. Upon arrival or anytime signs of health disorders appear, animal will be dismissed. No rabbits showing signs of contagious or infectious disease will be admitted to the show.
